    Is Point-7 a trend leader..?
How many were making black-monofilm sails 2 years ago?
I think Hot sails had one in dacron and that was it....

Now everyone is making a 'Black' sail for their line up in 2010..

We as a producer know we are doing something right when we are being copied by the 'established' companies..
anyways... rather be a leader than a follower..

I think we are trendsetting,.. We were the first and now the others are following us.. the more the better..
    We know who were first..

That our sails are not being found in more shops than they are, is part of our business structure. We work with surf shops in, by us designated, key locations like Surf-shop Fehmarn or Surf-tools in Starnberg and others.
We have no desire to be in every shop possible.. Why should we? there is no reason..
In Germany we are still relatively small in comparison to the more established brands, but we can see that more and more people are ready to join us and try something new. Not only design, but also in performance and sailing experience.

i am not shure if P7 is a trendsetter - i would rather say yes. but P7 definitely did some things right - new optics, so sails are identified - the fastest guys of the apot are on P7 - at least some. - of course people recognise it more when a black sail ist faster thean the NP RS whatever - as it happens many time in torbole for the last two years.
the have a good distribution, guys with good reputation do good talking on the spot, and now the proshops start - combined with well established partners like seatex.

    a very good way.

two reasons i don't own a P7 - i just cant have something black in the sun - i am plastics engineer ;)

mast cutout is too high for me, i am only 170 cm..

my favourite sails are naish - i like the performance, the looks, the quality - i replaced all my flatwater NP Sails ( V8 nad RS Slalom) with naish redline. - very happy with the decision

i also like naish a lot, for me the best overall brand, not only the looks - opticalwise i like the Force and the Boxer most

    Hmmmm....
Dont know why black should preset a problem for your chosen profession...
Anyways, Peter Munzlinger who is designing the sails and also testing/sailing them is less than 170, so it should be OK for users with 170 and also below :)

@ black - black is heating up in the sun - less heat is always better for plastics...

anway, i like your sails and way a lot, but currently i am happy with my naish sails

    Just to clarify...
The black does get warm but it doesn't melt..and its not possible to fry eggs on them either...
Having used the black material for over 3 years now, we have not been having had not one single complaint about the material getting old or breaking up nor complaints that people have burned themselves on the sails.

How many other 'monofilm' sails stays good after 3 years in the sun? Most I know of, turn white and break in the windows after a season or 2

Viel Monofilm, wenig Farbe.
    Viel Farbe fällt also auf!

Optical must say Point-7, no problems with melting.

Most off the others go for safe, years ago GUN in orange with black. An eyecatcher in those days.

Simmer allways looks good, since their beginning easy to recornice as a simmer.
    HSM wave series
    Nivea allways the same.
