tecno limits contact boom

Hi,
also mich würde echt mal interessieren wie das vernünftig halten soll.
Nicht umsonst gibt es durchgehende Rohrstücke bei den bisherigen Systemen und aufwendig verarbeitete Kopfstücke. Wird das nur durch den Tampen fixiert? Würde da gerne mal ein Video dazu sehen mit nem Belastungstest oder sowas.

The boom system will also be available from Point-7 within a few months.
The boom tubes are very stiff; in the right direction; meaning they do not bend or deform as we see with alu booms. Where the boom tubes do flex is in the lateral direction, via a spring system, allowing for the mast and board to work more freely.
A presentation video will be released from our side shortly, explaining all the details and advantages you have with this new system.

The tube curves are a little different towards the front, because of the head and how it spreads out from the mast.
I have no experience with the xtr boom from Techno limits..

Hört sich echt interessant an die ganze Geschichte...

Wem wie mir einmal bei voller Gleitfahrt ein verschraubter Gabelbaum (gut, das war ein 6 Jahre alter 100 Euro-Boom von Gunsails) an der Verschraubung explosionsartig zerbrochen ist, wird sich drei mal überlegen, je wieder irgendeine nicht-Monocoque Konstruktion zu kaufen. Den einzigen Vorteil des Contact-Boom: Man kann sich im Falle eines Defekts nicht an der offenen Bruchstelle verletzen

Als Vorteil sehe ich den einfacheren Transport im zerlegten Zustand, aber sonst vesteh ich auch nicht was dieser Boom besser kann als ein herkömmlicher.

Könnte auch sein, dass man beim Aufriggen ein bis zwei Sekunden spart, da die Manschette weiter auseinander geht

First impression for myself was:

When you sail, the first thing you notice is that you dont see the boom in your viewing field. Simply because it is not running forward around your sail. Its a bit like the first time you get on a short slalom board and dont see the nose of the board anymore..

When you are then sailing you feel hooked in, but you can feel in your hands that the boom is working (moving up and down) but everything else seems very calm.
The board seems to me floating more free and the sail is also more reactive. My own conclusion is that its because the mast can swing more free without being fixed around the boom as normally.

In feel also a difference in the acceleration, as it gets really quick.
Pumping is a little different, but you have again a lot of power from the swing of the mast.

The first 30 min with the boom are strange and you need to adjust a little, but after the initial adjustments its all happy faces

I think the boom can maybe swing 3-4 cm in either direction from centre
That I didnt meassure..

you can adjust it yes, on how hard it is
its like a spring you can tighten harder or looser

Wollte mal nachfragen, ob sich jemand mittlerweile den neuen Tecno Limits Contact Gabelbaum gekauft hat und was die Eindrücke sind.

Wäre froh um Erfahrungsberichte!

Hallöli, wie siehts aus sind die Eigner der Gabel immer noch zufrieden???
Ich habe in 2011 2 gebrochene Carbon Modelle gesehen. Ist schon komisch da die genau an der starken Biegung im Carbonrohr gebrochen sind! Eine von einem Mädchen und eine von einem gestandenem Mann der natürlich Teamfahrer und hat sie sofort verschwinden lassen ohne Kommentar (;-) Gefahren habe ich die leider noch nicht aber meine AL Carbon tut es auch seit 4 Jahren mit 200 Einsätzen.
