Dakine Weymouth Speed Week 2008
Saturday October the 4th to Friday the 10th.
Dakine Weymouth Speed Week 2008 will be a fantastic event - just one of the many highlights during the week will be the presence of Sweden?s Anders Bringdal, one of the most successful professional sailors in windsurfing history. In the race to have the very best boards, Bringdal recently completed his AB+ factory in China, using the latest techniques, including computer-aided design for shaping. Bringdal engaged Designer Maurizio Ubaldi to head up the research & development team, known for his extremely light and solid construction, Ubaldi promises to push the envelope even further by creating a newer a faster type board.
Bringdal has also been working on new designs for high-end speed foils as well as conventional designs for the boating world.
He will be holding clinics on speed sailing and board design as well as launching his AB+ board brand to the UK.
Once again Weymouth Speed Week has a full list of competitors. Only entries for Junior windsurfers (October 4th and 5th only) and Boats remain open. Everyone who is intending to compete this year should have paid by now. If you haven't done so yet then please follow the on-line payment link at www.speedsailing.com
A list of entrants and allocated sail numbers will be posted on the web site 8th September, if you are competing please check that your details are correct. If there are any concerns then contact Nick@SpeedSailing.com
Further emails will be sent before Weymouth Speed Week starts on Saturday 4th October. These will detail the event, the competitors and the prizes.
