According to the Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA) regulations, all equipment registered for use on the PWA tour must be included in the publicly marketed and available ranges of products listed by the brand. This equipment must be published online on the official international website of the brand by January 1st of the first season in which the equipment is registered for use.
Therefore, for the 2025 season, brands should ensure that their new equipment is showcased on their official websites by January 1, 2025. This ensures compliance with PWA rules and allows competitors and consumers to be informed about the available equipment for the upcoming season.
Additionally, registered equipment must be commercially available during the season in which it is first registered for use, no later than April 30th.
It’s important to note that the registration deadline for submission of all required specifications and documentation is December 15th. This deadline applies to boards, sails, and foils.
Adhering to these timelines is crucial for brands to ensure their equipment is eligible for use in PWA events and to maintain transparency with competitors and consumers.
