For sure.. living here
Its burning hot at the moment, so south wind arrives late and not sooo strong but its OK.
The North wind is really good and stays late in the morning until maybe 10am
Water temp is 22c
very nice, but only in or on the water. everywhere else its too warm! -
I'll be going as well.
Was there last year as well, but didnt race as i was without gear. Last year they had windsurfers in one start and then Kitesurfers. Was a lot of people there on all kind of gear, so no need to be a top sailor. Its about having fun and enjoying the danish conditions. I think the total distance is 23km so maybe 1/2 hour of sailing i would think.
On the saturday evening there is also a big dinner in the center of Hvidesande, which offers great seafood and entertainment.
SHould be great fun again this yearDennis

I normally bend the top just under where rubber protection stops.
Then gently bend it over, but holding it tight before starting to roll the sail.
Best result is if you do it like the chineese. On your knees and the sail laying flat on the ground -
how is your sail laying on the ground?
zippers pointing up?
Its the same as with a tent that never fits back into its bag after being unrolled the first time. Just takes a few tries...Dennis

If Thorsten is finally sailing fast, it got to be because he got a engine or a Pd board under his feet...

On dailymotion there are most of the races. The ranking you can find on the pwa website, but still no official video from the PWA. www.pwaworldtour.com

Sails with a closed leech are for sure planning a little bit earlier.. But they are not fast, they dont accelerate and the wind range is limited.
The loose leech doesnt take out the power of a sail, its adding to the overall performance..
try the sails you mention and then we talk again...
one sail is stale, the other is fun to ride -
just wait..... a bit of patience
its all in the working
have you packed your car yet? its garda time! I will be there tomorrow for 1 day only and then leaving again -
Also ein P7 AC K oder AC2 mit dem traditionell stark ausgeprägten LL ist sicher kein Frühgleiter, wie es der Themenstarter sucht. Ich würde es eher mit GTX vergleichen.
Loose leech doesnt have anything to do with the amount of power in a sail,,,,
Imagine on a 5m luff, do you really think you want power in the top of the sail? how would you ever be able to control that..... no chance! Power is to be found in the lower section of the sail. The mast has to flex and bend to give acceleration and absort gusts as well as chop. A closed leech dont allow for the mast to do its job and give comfort..
Sails with a very closed leech might plane in 1 knot less, but they get over powered in no time... That is for sure no fun with a big powerful sail in your hands. You want the sail to be balanced and work for you. not being thrown about by uncontrolable power..The AC-K is only made up to 9.4 because going bigger was senseless, the sail has such power with focus on early planing, range of use, comfort and easy handling..
The AC-K or other similar branded sails in this size range are all made for light wind, as they are the biggest there is.. The AC-2 is also available in 10m but for that range we needed to go bigger to get the desired power.. With the AC-K that wasnt the case..
The AC-K is a powerhouse of a sail, with top speed that can match anything on the water: -
