Vielnutzer - Wenignutzer

Daily Dose product release news, in fact yes, they do write their own reviews/news...needed 20mins just to find the source here...."direct quote fanatic"....:-) always good to start a thread with all the facts...:-)

  • T´schuldigung an Fanatic !

  • no problem, was just confused about the text, thought our translations could not be that different to English text! :-) good to hear the Cross worked so well, was a fun project developing them. Construction wise there have been some visible improvements over the years, expectations are perhaps not too high, but certainly some customers expect different durability/usage relation, perhaps not as easy to achieve nowdays with lightweight definately a buying/selling point. But as we can see in the thread, many opinions. Only fact is, at least for Fanatic, the high end LTD and Team Edition boards used to be a small % of total sales...and now the % is a lot higher, meaning customers do want the premium/lighter products. which like with any lightweight sport article, do come with higher breakage risk.

But to be honest, this is a topic which can be discussed to death and I´m afraid I´m off to a test trip tomorrow, with little web access, as well as an office move today...so I´ll probably not be able to comment toomuch...:-) but I´m sure others will...

  • ...., meaning customers do want the premium/lighter products. which like with any lightweight sport article, do come with higher breakage risk.
    ...

You see and this is the logic I do not like and I am not willing to accept. You must maintain durability of your products for recommended use , otherwise it is just a bad design. Imagine AIRBUS would use this argument to sell there new light-weight aircrafts A350, extensively built from CFK?!! Guess how many people would fly with it?! Any design and especially light weight structures need to be designed 'fit-for-purpose', otherwise it is either poor design or just too light..... just my opinion.
