Dear Members of the Windsurfing Industry
Following recent internal review and PWA Management Board Meetings, the PWA Board has voted to make some small changes to the rules affecting the registration of production Freestyle and Slalom boards.
All criteria will remain the same for 2017 except for the following:
Boards registered for the Freestyle discipline must produce and ship only 10 units of each model registered prior to the relevant registration deadline.
Slalom boards of 80 litre volume and less must produce and ship only 10 units of each model registered prior to the relevant registration deadline.
The change in criteria for has been implemented to take into account the smaller numbers of boards of these types and sizes, to allow for smaller boards to be registered in Slalom particularly for the use of female sailors and to encourage smaller brands producing Freestyle equipment to support and be involved with the tour (at the request of the Freestyle fleet).
