Unten zitiere ich von der Severnbe Website 2009:
"Question:
My front foot is coming out of the front strap when sailing, is something wrong with my trim?
Jesper's tuning: This is extremely annoying when this happens. Your stance and weight is a lot on the back foot, and causing the board to tail walk and the front foot to creep out of the foot strap.
I look at following things to prevent this from happening. Bigger fin size, boom down, fuller sail, and mast track forward. I look for a balanced stance with around 60% of the pressure on the back foot and 40% on the front foot.
First I try a bigger fin to increase the lift. If the fin creates to less lift it sometimes forces you to rake the sail more back wards and your weight transfers to the back foot too much. The bigger fin will allow you to stay more forward on the board. As long as the board is not railing up from too much lift then it is OK.
Again I go for a quite a full sail as it will "push" the board further down into the water and will allow you to keep a constant speed and control.
Moving the boom down helps to transfer more pressure onto the front foot. If the board start to feel to "sticky" then you have gone too far. Moving the mast track forward also helps a great deal on keeping the board down and maintains control.
There are a lot of factors and knowing when to do what can be tricky. Time on water to try all the different setting is the key."
