Notice of Race ? Regattaankündigung
German championship in Speedsurfing 2007 An Vereinigung deutscher Speedsurfer e.V. (VDS) sanctioned event on behalf of the German Windsurfing Association e.V. (DWSV)

1. EVENT
1.1 The German championship 2007 will be held from Saturday October 20 to Saturday October 27 2007 at Dranske on Rügen. If no champion could be declared until Saturday 27th, the duration of the championship will be extended until Sunday, October 28 2007.
1.2 The Winner of the German championship 2007 will be the German Champion 2007.

2. ORGANISER
2.1 The event will be organised by the VDS for and on behalf of the DWSV.

3. VENUE
3.1 The event will be based on the grounds of the NoHotel Dranske.
3.2 During October the weather conditions are usually: average wind of 5 Bft, temperature 8 to 14° Celsius.

4. RULES
4.1 This is an VDS sanctioned event governed by
4.1.1 The 2005/2008 ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing and App. B ? Windsurfing Competition Rules;
4.1.2 ISA Championship Rulebook
4.1.3 The VDS General Rules;
4.1.4 This Notice of Race ("NoR") and the Sailing Instructions (SI);
4.1.5 Alterations to the NoR and SI must be approved by the Race Committee.

5. ELIGIBILITY & DISCIPLINE
5.1 A minimum of 2 rounds on two different days is required for a valid event result.
5.2 A precompetitive positioning in the Annual Ranking List is required for a valid event result. A positioning in the Annual Ranking List can be acquired by registration at one of the stand-by competitions during the current season. Members who were not enregistered for one of the stand-by competitions in 2007 may take part at the races and may gather scores regarding the Annual Ranking List, but they will not get valuation regarding the German Championship.
5.3 Competitors shall possess valid third party liability insurance.
5.4 Competitors shall be a member of the VDS or of the DWSV.
5.5 Membership formalities can be completed on site.

6. EQUIPMENT
6.1 All competitors may bring their own equipment.

7. SAIL INSIGNIAS
7.1 Sail numbers shall be of a contrasting colour to the body of the sail (black), at least 30cm in height, clearly readable; and positioned according to VDS Rulebook.

8. LIABILITY
8.1 Competitors take part in all races at their own risk. The VDS, DWSV or any of their officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or representatives are not responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, loss or injury either ashore or on the water either to persons or equipment, which may result. Participation in this event, supporting events and in each race in them is at the sole discretion of the sailor and at his/her own risk.

9. COURSES
9.1 Courses shall be as described in the VDS Rulebook.
9.2 The Official Notice Board is located on the Centre, near the official Skippers Meeting Point. The Official Flag Pole is located near the Course.

10. SCORING
10.1 For event and tour scoring see VDS Rulebook.

11. SCHEDULE
Saturday 20th 10.00 - 13.00h Arrival & Registration Saturday 20th 13.00h Skippers meeting, 14.00h First possible start Sun/Sat. 21st / 27th 10.00h Skippers meeting, 10.30h First possible start; this time schedule can vary day by day which is published on the Official Notice Board Saturday 27th 15.00h Last possible start 20.00h Prize giving (mandatory), If no champion could be declared until Saturday 27th because of bad weather conditions: Sunday 28th 10.00 Skippers meeting, 10.30h First possible start, 14.00 Last possible start, 17.00h Prize giving (not mandatory)

12. MEDALS AND PRIZES
12.1 Trophies/Medals may be awarded up to the first ten competitors for men, up to the first three competitors for women, up to the first three Juvenile competitors, up to the first Master competitor as well as to the first guest competitor. Furthermore, trophies/medals may be awarded to the first position of the Annual Ranking List.
12.2 Material prizes will be split over the competitors.

13. TELEVISION AND MEDIA
13.1 In registering for the event, competitors automatically grant to the Organising Authority the right in perpetuity to make, use and show from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproduction of them, taken during the period of the event, for the said event as defined in the Notice of Race in which he/she participates without compensation.

14. ACCOMMODATION
14.1 The hospice NoHotel can be booked, the NoHotel offers special rates.
14.2 Lunch-box and drinking water will be placed at the competitor's disposal free of charge.

15. REGISTRATION ON SITE
15.1 The registration on site will take place on a location published on the Official Notice Board.
15.2 Competitors shall be required to produce the following prior to completing registration formalities on site:
- Original Regatta Registration
- Evidence of valid third party insurance
- Original Bank Transfer/Draft details starting fee or else the starting fee cash. Registration or payment on site will enhance the starting fee by 50%.
- Proof of age


Items not adhered to in this Notice of Race are substituted by the appropriate Point of the VDS Rulebook.

An den Boards kann es nicht liegen...

Zumindest ihn hatte ich kurzfristig noch mit Boards ausgestattet. Der ehemalige deutsche Meister Thorsten Luig fährt auch T1, ist aber aus mir nicht bekannten Gründen nicht angetreten.
Ich habe keine aktuelle Starterliste gesehen, es gibt aber schon noch ein paar Speeder aus GER auf T1:
Oliver Scharrschmidt, Ingo Benneweg, Christian Bornemann fallen mir gerade so spontan ein, ich glaube auch Wolfgang Lewang.
