    Ich würde hier nicht über ein Problem reden. Das Thema war eher auch ein „kleben“.

    Man muss dazu wissen, dass die Leute einen extrem hohes Fahrniveau hatten und eben auch in der Lage waren, das überhaupt zu erkennen. Und auch Lösungen gefunden hatten, bzw. eigentlich besser passende, bzw. leistungsfähigere Finnen zu empfehlen.

    Die kamen alle von Slalomboards und ja, da merkt man was.

    Ein Slalomboard hat eine kürzere Gleitfläche als ein Freeraceboard (Freeride noch länger), läuft wenn es läuft demnach freier.

    Dafür kommt ein Board mit längerer Gleitfläche passiver und früher ins Fahren.

    for the Volumen of 98l I have the Tribal Libero on my wishlist but still know, I am very happy with my JP All Ride 106.


    With 118l, the board has a width of 68cm and with 128l a width of 73cm.... It has not the perfect Volumen which I am searching... 118l with 68cm are a litte bit too less and 128l with 73cm are a little bit too much.

    Do you know if the boards feel big or small when surfing?

    Is the Radix 118l an easy surfing board?

    Telstar Surf (Strand Horst) has a second-hand Tribal Libero 118 for sale. Maybe you can test it yourself to see whether it feels big or small for its size? I haven't used the Tribal Libero myself, so I don't know whether this board feels larger or smaller compared to other freeride or slalom boards.


    The Tribal Radix 118 is relatively easy for a slalom board. The tail isn’t very thick, and backfoot pressure is lower compared to the iSonic, for example. I do think a slalom sail or a sporty freerace sail is necessary for the Tribal Radix. I went several months in 2024 without flat water, and if I never had flat water conditions, I would opt for a freeride board instead. The main reason is that a slalom board requires more energy and power in less ideal conditions—and to be honest, I’m not always fit enough to fully enjoy a long session in challenging conditiona on a slalomboard.


    In my humble opinion, the Radix should only be considered instead of the Libero if you prefer using full slalom sails, often windsurf on flat water, and have good physical condition. The Tribal Libero wasn’t available when I bought my Tribal Radix, but today I would probably choose the Libero for the medium to smaller sizes. This is why I bought one smaller Libero to try first.

    Naja, bei meinem 130er war Mastfuß weiter hinten mit einem deutlich schlechteren Angleitverhalten verbunden. Das Brett läuft nunmal flach, dafür hatte ich auch bei Überpower keine Angst vorm Abflug. Bisschen mehr Konkave im UW Schiff hätte ich mir gewünscht, nach meinem Wechsel zum Rocket+ kamen Dankschreiben von meinen Knien und der Wirbelsäule ;-)

    Thank you. I understand everything. I don't like to use the heavy slalom sails. Am I right that I should think of Strand Horst when we talk about flat water? If yes, then I would say I prefer the choppy conditions.


    It seems, that I am looking for a board between the Radix and the Libero or an optimized Libero. I should write an Email to Tribal with my questions.


    The Libero 98 seems perfect. 4 Footstrapposition. Not too far out. Very well implemented for the conditions you would find on the lake when using 98l. For the bigger Boards I am not sure at the moment.
