Thommen 2007/2008, neue Boards...

  • It's my pleasure to inform you of the following updates for 2007, our 'Version 2.1' range so to speak:

RS - RennSport - 'Challenged Man. Winner Board.'

Our main objective for 2007: Bjorn must reclaim his title! So suring the early spring months we will introduce 3 new RS boards: 59-II, 69 and 79-II.

All of our RS boards will comply with both PWA and ISAF production rules and will be made in a brand new 'hand lay-up' monocoque construction which proved to lighter, stiffer and more durable (specially in critical areas). Since these 3 new shapes are still under development on Maui and therefore the latest from the hand of Peter Thommen and thoroughly tested and approved by Bjorn Dunkerbeck. The finish of all the 2007-edition RS boards will be minimalist, more information on the new sizes and the final graphic designs for next season will be following shortly.

SR - SpeedReplica - 'Fastest Man. Fastest Board.'

During later spring/early summmer we will introduce 2 new speed boards to claim the production speed world title with 2 SpeedReplica's approximate 44 and 49 cm's wide. Both these boards will comply for the ISAF production rules and will be made in the latest 'hand lay-up' monocoque construction. More information to follow shortly.

PROOF - 'Designed in Gran Canaria Part 2.'

2 years after the introduction rider Orjan Jensen & shaper Carlos Sosa + their team on GC have succeeded in developing something better than the existing shapes. You may expect 3 new Wavers and 1 new Wave/Freestyle shape from them early summer 2007. Until this date the present shapes/graphics are continued in a new updated construction.

WAVEX - 'Euro Waves. Euro Shape.'

There’s no need to change these 2 ultra modern shapes, both sizes are well received in several magazine tests and perfectly suited for the Euro sizes waves. Last year’s construction will be updated with latest technologies/materials.

CROSSX - Not Wave nor Slalom. Just the best Crossover Extreme ever made!
We're happy to report that the CrossX has been a great success all over the world, all shapes are considered to be the benchmark for versatility and speed. We will introduce a new CrossX77 to the existing range of 87, 97 and 107. The construction will be updated with the latest technologies.

FASTX - Fast Man. Fast Crossings.

The 2 FastX shapes 117 and 127 will be continued in 2007 but equipped with fast & furious RS fins matching these boards' impressive performance. The construction will be updated with the latest technologies.

CLASSX - One Man. One Board.

The success of these sandwich boards is evident so off course we will continue this range of evergreens in 2007, shapes, construction and graphics remain unchanged.

PROTEX - Welcome to a World called Performance!

With the 155 being brandnew and the 135 a ClassX evergreen these 2 brilliant shapes will remain unchanged in 2007. We will just update graphics and improve on the EVA softdeck padding to match the quality image of T1.

NOVIX - First Surf. First Board.

As per my previous communication our NoviX195 board is a new development together with the French Windsurfing School Federation, UCPA. The updated looks will be available shortly but you may expect a graphic in the line of our ProteX boards and new EVA softdeck padding.

  • Hallo,
